This Victorian lodge in the park’s southern section opens seasonally. It lies next to the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias.

Founded in 1856, the Wawona Hotel is one of the earliest mountain getaway hotels near Yosemite National Park in California.

All Yosemite National Park lodge reservations are available 366 days in advance. 

You must make your Yosemite lodging reservations as soon as possible, especially during the peak months of spring through fall and holidays.

Yosemite National Park lodging is in high demand and can be incredibly pricey.    

For more economical and quiet options, you can expand your search to encompass the park’s more sedate areas, such as Wawona, Yosemite West, Foresta, or Tuolumne.

Without phone service, TV, or electricity, guests at the camp center have easy access to bathrooms and showers.

In a main dining tent along the Tuolumne River, Tuolumne Meadows Lodge offers a fulfilling family-style breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The approximate opening period for the Tuolumne Meadows Lodge is early July to mid-September.

High Sierra Camps

The camps are spaced six to ten miles apart along a circular route.

The Ski Hut, offering lodging in stone and log structures at Glacier Point, is one of Yosemite’s most stunning and magnificent sights in winter. 

Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, and the Yosemite High Country are all visible from the site, with rustic accommodations and an appealing dining room.

You can stay a night on the 21-mile round hike to the Hut and return the next day after exploring Glacier Point. 

The Hut is only accessible during the winter, and reservations are necessary.

Kids must be at least 14 years old and travel with an adult at Glacier Point Ski Hut.

Beyond Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area, Glacier Point Road is open from December to March.
